The Beaumont is an independent Victorian townhouse hotel in the centre of Hexham, with stunning views of the Abbey. Dine on local seasonal produce in our restaurant or enjoy a drink at the bar with the open kitchen and the Victorian Sele park as a backdrop.
While visiting Hexham, immerse yourself in the stunning architecture of the market town and stories about the Vikings, the Border Reivers and the Anglo-Saxon Abbey.
The hotel is decorated throughout with wallpapers from independent designers such as Shweta Mistry and Annette at ATA Designs, fabrics from Linwoods and Designers Guild, and furniture by Feather and Black.

All rooms are cosy with their own individual touches. Inside you will find comfy king size beds with Egyptian cotton bedding, and an ensuite bathroom stocked with toiletries from Aromatherapy Associates and luxury towels.
03Eat & Drink
Our open-plan restaurant, lounge and bar offer a free-flowing informal space. The chefs create an ever-changing seasonal menu from the open kitchen – from light bites and small plates to hearty main courses and Josper charcoal-grilled meats – with most ingredients sourced locally.
In summer the bi-folding doors open to create a buzzy café culture; in winter, Sele Park provides a beautiful backdrop of Christmas lights.

A unique blend of contemporary design and timeless sophistication. Our function room seats up to 100 guests, with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Abbey and park – and the Abbey and Grade II listed Hexham House are just a short walk away for ceremonies.

All the staff we encountered were extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Our room was delightful, spacious, comfortable and with great decor. We had an absolutely delicious evening meal with great flavours, chosen from a very imaginative menu.
The room was beautiful, comfortable, spacious and spotless. The ambience in the bar and dining room was lively and fun with a mix of locals and tourists. It was our third stay at the hotel and we’ll definitely be back.
